SCU Breaks: 2007 National Treasures (Slot Style)

Sometimes you get boxes that make you wish you didn't obsess over pieces of cardboard. These boxes are 2 of those in my opinion. Granted there are some nice cards, but the overall break could have been much better in my opinion. Win some you lose some I guess.

07 NT 2 Box Break- Slot Assignments

After I get home tonight from a meeting, I will be taping the slot randomization. I will input the names to random.org just as listed below and then random the list (3) times. The number slot each name ends up with is the "hit" slot that they will receive. Wheeler was only in if it ended up being a case break and so I will be paying for those two slots and taking them. If anyone wants to trade slots that can be done after tonight until Friday at 5 p.m. Boxes arrive Friday and I will be recording the break and posting it to youtube and here along with scans later in the evening (somewhere around 10 p.m. central time it should be up). SCU Breaks: 2007 National Treasures Case Break2 Box Break

****We will be going ahead with just 2 boxes of National Treasures. I will post up the randomization tomorrow night and am waiting to find out about when the boxes would arrive....break will be either Friday evening or Monday evening. I will keep you all up to date****


Well we are going to give one more go round on a case break. This time however we are going to do something new. Instead of doing a random team break we are going to try a random "hit" slot break. There are 36 "Hits" (at least 18 autos) total in the 6 box case. Here is how it will go down. 1 slot = 1 hit (Material Card or Auto). Once the break is full, I will input everyone's name in on random.org and videotape it being randomed 3 times. The number that is next to each name is the order of the cards coming out. For instance if I end up with slot 1 then the first "hit" card pulled from the box would go to me, and so on and so forth. Here are all the details.

(1) 1 Case of 2007 National Treasures (6 boxes = 36 "Hits")
(2) 1 Slot = 1 Hit
(3) 1 Slot = $42, 2 Slots = $80
(4) Slots are reserved after payment is received
(5) Payments can be sent via paypal to: justin.halbersma@gmail.com
(6) Slots #'s will be randomly assigned via video as explained above
(7) People can trade slot numbers if they so choose (we all know that in most collation issues slot #6 in a box is usually a rookie material auto and so if someone wanted to trade 2 slots with someone who has one of those slots they could).
(8) Break will be videotaped and posted here and youtube w/scans of highlights also posted here.

I am going to give this until the 24th to fill up if it doesn't then money will be refunded and we will officially end the attempts at case breaks and just stick to boxes and the box break club.

SCU Breaks: April Box Busters Club Break

Well guys I think that this might be one of the best monthly breaks if not the best monthly break we have had. Some absolutely stunning cards. As you will see in the Donruss Threads Video, as you get your package come back and leave a comment on this post to share with us what you got. There should be 4 Hits out there (at least 1 auto).

Congrats Psad21.....

If you remember the 2 box break of 2007 National Treasures from January, then you will remember that in one of the boxes we received 4 Material Cards and only 2 autos. I put in the claim with Donruss and today in the mail I got the replacement card.

Donruss did not replace it with a 2007 NT Auto, but rather sent us one of those "manufactured" patch autos from 2008. While it is somewhat disappointing at least it is an auto of a historical player and not some no-name rookie.

Anyway here is a scan of the card that will be sent out to psad21 who owned the Cleveland Browns in that break.....

SCU Breaks: 2 Boxes 07 National Treasures

***The Break was awesome and crap at the same time. First, some really sweet looking cards as you will see. However, as you will also see in the video our 2nd box was 4 "material" cards and 2 autos. With a hand-packed high end product like this there is absolutely no excuse for an error like that. I will be putting a claim into Donruss and whatever we get out of that will be sent out to whoever owned that team. NOT HAPPY ONE BIT, but at least we got some sweet cards too.***



***RANDOMIZATION MISTAKE---In the video I said I would randomize the list 5 times and then ended up randomizing it 6 times. I said the card would go to slot #3 Mseink..... when at the 5th randomization it was on arfmax.....due to the error I am sending a make up auto and prime jersey card to arfmax....I feel bound to give it to the one I declared in the video. Sorry for the error.***

SCU Breaks: (2) Boxes of 07 National Treasures (FULL)

There were some sentiments for making the 2 boxes of National Treasures a box of 06 and a box of 07. I went to look over at blowoutcards.com and the 06 National Treasures were out. Since there were a few votes for straight 07 and a couple who just said NT break we will stay with the 2 boxes of 2007 National Treasures. Here are the details:

(1) Video Break of 2 Boxes of 2007 National Treasures Football
(2) $18 per slot
(3) Slot gets you [1] random team assigned via video recording at www.random.org
(4) Send paypal payments to: justin.halbersma@gmail.com
(5) Cards with multiple teams will be randomed out between the owners of the teams represented on the card (taking Lars, aka penguin101, advice if say there are 3 teams on the card each team slot will be entered via random.org along with "dud, dud, triple" and whoever gets the triple gets the card. Will hit random button 5 times for random distribution"
(6) Boxes will be ordered once the break fills. (I will be out of town until Saturday Night, so if this fills up quickly the break will be at the earliest Saturday, January 17th....I will keep everyone posted)
(7) Teams can be traded amongst participants once assigned.
(8) Your name will be added once you have been paid.
