SCU On Cardboard Connection

Guys, I just signed up for Cardboard Connection, which is basically MySpace for collectors. I encourage you to get on board, it is a really cool idea. And yes, I will even be your friend if you want my ugly mug on your list.

  1. While it's a nice idea the site could have been better in terms of usability. Also the images you upload are downsized way too much. Anyways I guess I'll give it a try until somethings better comes along.

  3. Thanks for checking out the site, Gellman. I'm glad you like it! There is a ton of functionality on the site that hasn't even been discovered yet. The site essentially has all the functionality of Myspace and ebay put together in one site. The auction marketplace is completely integrated with the social network portion of the site (one login, one signup, display your auction on your profile etc).

We also have a number of additional features that we will be implementing over the next couple of months. A new and improved profile designer will be available for members to use as soon as tomorrow. It will allow a lot more options in terms of profile design, and will allow users to use MySpace Profile Templates / Themes on their Cardboard Connection Profiles.

    Keep up the great blogging!

  4. Lars - I would really like to talk with you via email to get more detailed feedback from you regarding your criticism of the site. The site just opened up so I am eager to get as much feedback as possible from users, so that I can then go and improve the site based on that feedback. Please shoot me over an email at editor@cardboardconnection.com when you get a free minute.

    Some feedback...

I wish that there was bulk upload for images, like photobucket has. It's a pain to upload many images as it is now.

Also when editing your images there needs to be a save all button so you can edit all the pictures at the same time instead of one at a time.

Also I think you are lowering the quality a bit much, any chance you could allow for maybe a maximum of 1000~ height and width?

I like the initiative but some stuff feels like it needs some polishing.

    Keep up the good work...
