A Testimony To The Sucktitude Of Topps Triple Threads

Topps Triple Threads, in its very essence, is a ridiculous display of the overjersification of the hobby, the stupidity of contrived scarcity (mainly an overabundance of 1/1s), and of course, the freakish and idiotic need to include fugly printing plates in every single product.

Let me showcase an example of all of these:

The eyewash is to the right, please feel free to use it. Holy fuck.

  1. That... is an ugly card.

And what's up with the sticker? it looks like someone peeled it off a Bowman card and pasted it on here.

  2. Gellman, that's absolutely fucking disgusting.

Wait until I wipe my ass and put the toilet paper and put 1/1 on that and put it on eBay; it'll probably fetch more than that stinking pile of shit.

This hobby is crumbling; the real collectors of cards go to the ultra high end for a reason--they're the only sets which produce the unique and beautiful cards.

  3. This is why I'm not a fan of Topps' high end products. The misconception is that if you pay high end, you get high end. Which is bad for new collectors.

  4. I've never understood the fascination with MultiSwatch cards. If you have a 3 swatch card, they could all have come from the exact same are of the uniform and all look the same. If that's the case, why not just make 1 big swatch?

Now if the uniform has multiple colors like one color on the body and one color on the shoulders like the Titans' uniform, having 2 different colors could be cool.

But 2 swatches that look alike doesn't make much sense to me.

  5. I am so glad I did'nt purchase these and I was close I got 2 boxes of sports legend and 2 topps turkey reds 1 06 07' basketball and one 08 bseball instead and got some great pulls out of both no 1/1 a few 5/5's and my favorite a troy aikman/nolan ryan nombred to 25 signature collection a montana parellel patch champion # to 100 a more A fuck of a lot better even if this is a 1/1 it's 1 worthless looking card. I can't really afford high end all the time any suggestions when I do?
