Funny Story From the Weekend

So, I am schmoozing the guests at our Wedding reception, and I happen to run across one of my father's best friends and golf buddies. After the congratulations and the normal stuff, he drops a bomb that I was not expecting at my day of days.

"Adam, you dont happen to have a blog, do you?"

Boom. There it is. After explaining myself and everything I do with the site, he told me that he had stumbled across the site, and had checked it out a few times. Then, of course, the wave started, and everyone in my family wanted the address, much to my chagrin.

I guess the moral of the story should be, "dont write something that you are afraid to have to justify," but it didnt really seem like that to me. Luckily everyone thought the site was pretty cool, but I could easily see it going the other way.

I thought it was funny, and totally makes a great argument for not being vulgar on this site. Too bad I have no shame.

EDIT: Big thanks to Charlie for the awesome wedding present, the AD's were greatly appreciated.

  1. I don't think you have anything to be embarrassed about, unless the language is bothering you. You are being honest and up-front, and not hiding your feelings towards good and bad products. Maybe a few too many f-bombs, but it is a GREAT read, so joke them if they can't take a f---!

  3. Great story, and congratulations on your wedding. I wouldn't really want my family members reading my blog either - partly because I don't want them to know that I spend so much time thinking and writing about baseball cards. In their minds, I'm sure that there are many more productive uses of my time. That's one of the reasons why I don't use my last name on my blog - they can't Google me and find it.
