More Packout Pics are Up, Some Crazier Than Others

I love when Exquisite comes out each year. Its a close to the card season that is like encore after a great concert. This year's has been shaping up to be one of the better versions of the product in years, and I am hoping that the final product echoes that. Even if the product falls flat, I have to applaud Upper Deck's amazing use of Twitter to draw hype on this set.

Here are some of the newer cards they posted, I think the Harvin at the end is ridiculous.

  1. You like the last Harvin? But the patches spell out MIN. That is the sort of thing you would see in Triple Threads, which you hate. Oh, that's right, this is an Upper Deck product, so it is alright. My bad.

As I said, most of the cards do look good. The only question is how often do you get a card that like one of the ones pictured - every box, every few boxes, every 20 boxes?

  2. "Secretary of Defense". Awesome.

Gellman, any idea of whether all these scans are an indication of them cataloguing each card?

That could be a way of deterring fakes. Have a giant high-pixel photo of say, all 99 of one players auto patches in 11 rows of 9. Then you can zoom in to see the number card you are looking for.

    Just a thought.

  3. I'll say it again... Numbering cards that high with those patches is only going to increase faking.

Other than that, they look little black dress sexy.
