Why Would Anyone Destroy This Card?

This card is 100% fake, I may even have the original card in my bucket somewhere. The bottom line is that it is a gold version of the base Peterson National Treasures auto, and it is numbered to 25. Its a 600 dollar card, minimum, and whoever mangled it deserves to have their head examined. I have seen numerous people destroy Exquisites, and two things come to mind. How would anyone decide on that card for faking, and who thinks that is real enough to place a bid?!?

Please refer back to this post where I said "Know the Jerseys" as I even talk about the stupidity of trying to pass this off as real. No where on the jersey is there a Viking head this big, and there were no throwbacks worn by Peterson at the premiere. In addition, when the Vikings did have those patches on their jerseys, the colors were much different, as was the stitching.

What bullshit.

  1. Yeah, I noticed the $12 S&H as well. Sellers like this kill me - they're going to sell their items for hundreds of dollars (or more) and they can't even kick in free shipping.

Of course, it just adds insult to injury with this schmuck.

  2. Are you saying that someone took a card worth $600, put a fake jersey on it and is trying to sell it for $112? That doesn't make any sense.

  3. Why do you care how much shipping is? Do you get a profit check from Ebay?

Better question, do you like paying exorbitant shipping charges? Because $12 is a lot. I saw a Peterson Exquisite card listed with $25 shipping yesterday. WTF? Most people don't care for inflated shipping.

  5. I have a photo of a game worn Bennett jersey with that patch logo on it.

    Want proof?

  6. The old jerseys had the logo, but Peterson never wore one.

  7. Didn't Peterson cut & tuck his sleeves his rookie year? A lot of pictures I see of him his rookie year show him with that style. Nostalgic Purple Jersey's.

  8. Per all three manufacturers, Peterson did not wear any throwback jerseys at the premiere. All of these swatches came from the premiere, and they dont have that logo on the jerseys.
