Donini Classics is live and here are some images from a case break on blowout.
The only thing I want to comment on is how crappy these cards turned out without the original background. The brown really doesnt fit right, especially with some of the uniform colors, where as the actual field background would have been sooooo much better. Otherwise the results are the best of the year for Donini.

A nice look, but the autos. Why not at least make a spot for them on the design? You can barely see them.
ReplyDeleteAdditionally, as mentioned on FCB there is no name on the front of the cut autos. The only place that a name appears on those cards is in the legalese on the back.
ReplyDeleteHAHA...nice leftover Harvin sticker auto with #1 on it. They could have at least cheated and wrote a little 2 next to it...oh wait, Donini didn't even notice.
ReplyDeleteDamn, just realized they probably ruined every Chris Wells with a #28 auto instead of his NFL #26. Had him targeted since he grew up in my home town.
ReplyDeleteI don't mind the Brown background. It's better than seeing an empty Coliseum every year.
ReplyDeleteThey never pan that far up, at least from what I see.
ReplyDeleteAnd this is why I'm considering actually buying a box of upper deck stuff from 2008...with crap like this now from panini....makes 2008 upper deck and upper deck heroes look awesome...
