So the Chiefs have traded for Cassel, and all they had to give up was a 2nd round pick. See, I thought that all it would take would be that draft pick, but some of you disagreed. I believe the Chiefs need Cassel tremendously, and would be happy to sign him for that long term deal, but it still irks me that the Vikings instead went after Sage Fucking Rosenfels instead.
Ill say, I dont think Cassel will be the next big thing. He just doesnt have the support in KC that he did in NE, which will lead to a major problem. But, for Minnesota, he did have more support and could be a reasonable solution to try out until something became obvious. Instead we have Three fucking losers who cant do anything for the team, while All Day sits in the backfield and looks at 8-9 guys in the box each play because the teams know we cant throw for shit.
I still think Childress should be fired, and a coach that does not have his bird head stuck up his ass should be hired. Until that happens, the Vikings will continue to be a middle of the road team or worse.
I thought the same thing. I see they are really trying to make a run at TJ Houshmandzadeh, but it would have made more sense to stick with the receivers they have and sure up the QB position. As a Bears fan though, I can't say I'm sad to see them screwing the pooch.
ReplyDeleteI am not sure The Vikings had the draft pick to trade. I believe the Vikings 2nd round pick is significantly lower than the Chiefs 2nd round pick.
ReplyDeleteSee im a NE fan, and I would love to see Cassel in a Vikings uniform. I think he could be successful there. Esp if they reach for TJ
ReplyDeleteRemember, we Lions fans have Dante, and 2 other guys that suck.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry man. I really thought Minny was a perfect fit for Cassel. I thought it would happen.
ReplyDeleteIt would have taken the Vikes 1st to get Cassel, without Vrabel. And Childress would have wasted the talent, if he actually has any. And we would have had to give him a big extension to make it worth it.
ReplyDeleteI agree that he will probably struggle in KC. Arrogant coach, no WR, little OL (and their best OL apparently wants out), and a whiny RB.
Kind of shocked about this. Tyler Thigpen is just as good. The guy put up some good numbers last year. I really don't see how Cassel is going to do any better at KC with the same supporting cast.
