Oh God, Please, I Beg You, NO.

According to ESPN, a trade between the Vikes and Texans may be in the works to acquire Sage Rosenfels to be the Starting QB. All I have to say is:

PLEASE DONT RUIN OUR SEASON WITH THIS SHITTY ASS SOLUTION TO A HUGE FUCKING PROBLEM.

Draft Josh Freeman if you can, or someone else, or at the very least, trade a second round pick for Cassel. Please for the love of god do not trade for Sage fucking Rosenfels and doom us to mediocraty for the next 3-4 years. FUCK, these people are fucking stupid retards. I mean, I would actually prefer Jackson, a guy that has possible upside, or hell, even Gus may be a better choice because Rosenfels cant play worth my left testicle. I think Adrian Peterson would be a better QB. Holy fuck, I am so pissed that this is even a possibility. The goofy lack of talent white boy quotient on the team has already been reached with Gus, no need to pile on top of it.

  1. I think we would be happy to give you cassel in exchange for a pick. My gut tells me that cassel is another Derek Anderson...which may be an improvment over gus...and better than the texans loser...

  2. 1st- If we could get Cassell for a 2nd rounder I am sure we wouldn't be talking to the Texans about Rosenfels, but I would guess it is going to take more like a 1st and 3rd to get Cassell (the price of Jared Allen) which I am not willing to pay for Cassell.

2nd- Josh Freeman isn't the answer either, but we could draft a QB of the future and plug Rosenfels in for 1 year to let him develop at the low cost of a 4th rounder.

3rd- Sage Rosenfels while not an All-Pro QB isn't horrible. Not great, but not horrible either. I would rate him over Gus...other upside is Sage knows the West-Coast system after being in it for years.

Finally, it isn't the end of the world if this happens and what more can you expect. The options are limited. Take a chance on a rookie QB?---well that doesn't do much for the next year---Take a chance on Cassell---that could be good, but Wes Welker and Randy Moss are not on the Vikings---

Either way, its the Vikings. By now you should expect something like this.

  3. See thats the problem, if they trade for Rosenfels, he is only as good as the next POS idea. Let jackson have one more year while you draft someone to take over - AS LONG AS THEY ACTUALLY DRAFT SOMEONE. Hell, I dont think Booty is that bad of an option either once he gets some snaps under his belt. As for cassel, I have heard it will take a 2nd rounder plus some. I dont think a 1st and 3rd is the asking price.

Either way, you are right, its the Vikings. *SAD FACE*

  4. Another possibility to consider is this: It is all a public-ruse to drive the Patriots price for Cassell down.

The Vikings probably are trying to show the Patriots that they will go another direction and they can do it for X (4th rounder) in order to drop the price of Cassell down to Y (2nd rounder and 5th or 6th rounder).

That is the thing that many people are not considering, but this is the time of year it is. The time when teams create all kinds of "rumors" in order to deflect attention or to create some type of leverage in negotiations.

  5. No way Cassell would go for a 2nd round pick, more like a 1st + 2nd.

  6. I would look to get Carr from the Giants or try to pluck up a QB in the 2nd/3rd round. You guys need someone that can throw the deep outs/ins and work the play action.

I hate to see teams like the Vikes have all this talent and no QB to support it. It's REALLY hard to watch.

  7. As a Bears fan, I can sympathize. Year after year, our management continues to think we can win with a mediocre QB.

  8. Personally I think the Vikings should never have gotten rid of Jeff George......

  9. I have to personally say that the strategy of getting three mediocre QB's and seeing who will be slightly less mediocre is an example of the pure ass-hattery that is Brad Childress. Blech. TJack hasn't worked despite Brad's wishful thinking.Gus is no golden boy but replacing him with a less talented, less experienced equivalent makes absolutely no sense. But then again, why am I trying to give Childress credit for even having the capability to make a smart decision.

I anticipate another year of slow heartbreak. Sigh.

  10. Come to think of it, if they had of stuck with Gino Torretta after 1993 and really given him a shot he would still be leading them to Super Bowl victories.....

  11. Admit it, you don't like him because his first name is Sage.

If his name was SP-Authentic Rosenfels you would be gushing all over him!

  12. When Sage has you guys on top of that shitty division make sure you blog your apology.

  13. i am a huge peterson collector and would love to see the vikings finally get a QB thats wortha damn is Sage the answer lmmfao NO i dont think sage is any better than there current options ... but theres also no way NE is giving up cassell for a 2nd round draft pick if they can lock cassell down right on if not i think vikings best bet to win NOW is Garcia

  14. Not only are they going after Rosenfels, they've been trying to get him for the past 2 years! Why is something that is so obvious to most of the fans so fucking hard to understand for management. I mean, yeah, Sage for a 4th round pick, not a bad deal, but he's not the answer and therefore not worth the effort.

'Wannatrade,' Garcia is not the best option. The vikings should be doing everything they can to entice McNabb away from the Eagles, THAT is the best option.
