I am trying the Redemption Replacement Program through Upper Deck for a redemption that I dont want to wait another year for. Has anyone used this option for unfufilled cards before? Is Upper Deck easy to work with? The redemption is worth around 250 dollars on the open market, so I am worried that I will get shafted. Does anyone have any stories to share?
Thanks!

You might get shafted, you might get hooked up beyond your wildest dreams. Or, you might get fair value. Its kind of a crapshoot.
ReplyDeleteIf you aren't in a rush, I'd hold off. UD is unveiling a new redemption replacement system website where you can pick your own replacement from available cards in stock. it was supposed to be up and running last month, but they are still working on rolling it out.
Give them a call and see what they can do for you. It doesn't hurt to ask.
ReplyDeleteThat was supposed to happen in july, it wont be active until next year most likely. I am just tired of waiting - I want something tangible.
ReplyDeleteHopefully they send me one of them Peterson/Rice duals out of exquisite - that would be AMAZING.
Most replacements that I've seen from UD are either old stock (where the redemption originally for the piece has expired) or cards for newer products that never ended up making it into the packout (returned late by the signers).
ReplyDeleteI will be calling them if I do not get an email.
ReplyDeleteTo tell you the truth, I just want something nice, preferrably peterson, but it doesnt have to be.
If their redemption people are of the same breath as their damage replacement people, then you might get farther by talking to your goldfish. They just keep telling you that they are working on it, but never get back to you on anything.
ReplyDeleteGood Luck.
Gellman, just wait. UD usually shafts people for their lower end stuff, but if you're redeeming something which is worth 250 and you've been waiting about a year, they'll pay attention to that. I'm pretty sure they'll give you something nice for your wait. What are you redeeming?
ReplyDelete2007 Peterson SPA subset auto presumably out of less than 15
ReplyDeletemy wife just pulled (out of my box) a Peterson Auto/Jsy #/d to 33 and when i plugged the code online it said the card was unavailable (sucks since its $450 BV) i called UD and the guy said he would put me in for an AP replacement but there was no guarantee, im a peterson collector and i want a peterson auto/jsy soooo bad, but if they send me $450 worth of replacements ill just sell em and buy more unopened 07 stuff! I should get the replacement in less than 2 weeks and i will post again to let yall know what it is.
