First Look: 2008 DLP Prime Cuts Baseball

We finally get a set from DLP baseball that I would definitely consider one of the first high end sets since 2005. Too bad it will be in excess of 200 per box, but as you can see, the hits are pretty amazing. With only 1 auto in the 4 hits offered, there better not be any Elite Extra Edition style RCs. Also, I wonder how they can produce cards with Gherig and Robinson considering their estate's deal with Topps, but really, who fucking cares? Check this shit out!

  3. I thought I read somewhere that is was a 5 card pack with 4 being autos or memorabilia...maybe I was reading something different.

  4. Looks like a retro Ballpark Collection with some patches that are actually nice.

  5. My guess that these nice patches won't show up a whole hell of a lot. I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that most cards will be of the single color swatch variety...which is lame.

It is 5 cards per pack with 4 being autos or memorabilia cards. (read it over at the blog that shall not be named)

  8. I'm guessing that most boxes will contain: 1 base card (veteran or rookie) #'d to 449, 1 auto, 2 plain swatch jersey cards, and 1 patch if you're lucky. DLP usually puts decent value in their boxes.
