I was reading some football related stuff on another site when I came across this article. It basically details some Giants fans going to Nicaragua to get some of the Patriots' 19-0 super bowl shirts that were shipped to the third world following the loss. The reason I find this so funny is that Patriots fans are usually the ones chided for being overzealous, but the Giants fans set out to prove them wrong.
Also, what is it about New England teams that produce such irreverant and unconditional love for a team? It seems like evey Sawks fan and Patriots fan is the most diehard fan ever. So diehard that they will threaten you if you say their team sucks. That is crazy tomfoolery at its finest.
Oh, and I would love to see these guys walk around with these shirts on. What a sore subject for a team that has already won 3 out of the last 5 superbowls.

They were already going to Nicaragua, when there they decided to look for the shirts. Pretty intense, but the way your post reads makes it seem like that is the whole reason they went.
ReplyDeletelol! That's great.
ReplyDeleteJustin - I definitely was not trying to make it seem like that.
ReplyDeleteI figured that much. Still they did do alot of tracking and work to find them once they were there....crazy.
